J&K SPCB Water Laboratory Kashmir Division

J & K SPCB Water monitoring laboratory of Division Kashmir is located in the ground floor of its new campus situated at Sheikh–ul-Alam complex Rajbagh, Srinagar. Water quality monitoring lab was established in the year 1997 with an objective to assess the water quality of various water bodies of Kashmir Division. The Laboratory is presently headed by Dr. Bilquees Ara Siddiqui (P.hd PDF). The lab is equipped with instruments like spectrophotometer, Flame photometer, Kjeldal digestion and distillation unit, conductivity and TDS meter, water monitoring kit, turbidity meter, COD digester etc. In addition to the assess the status of various water bodies, the SPCB water lab is also monitoring  the  efficiency of various drinking water treatment plants, STPs and ETPs located in Kashmir Division.
