industries exempted from getting NOC

LIST OF SUCH NON-OBNOXIOUS AND NON HAZARDOUS INDUSTRIES WHICH DO NOT DISCHARGE INDUSTRIAL EFFLUENTS/ EMISSIONS OF POLLUTING NATURE ARE BEING EXEMPTED FROM GETTING N.O.C FROM J&K POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD.

 

1.                    Millet grinding

2.                    Aggarbati, Dhoop & other cosmetic products manufactured  by blending (dry process)

3.                    Automobile body building.

4.                    Water coolers & Heaters assembly

5.                    Biogas

6.                    Book binding

7.                    Pastries, Cakes, Bread upto 100 kg/day

8.                    Bidi making units

9.                    Belt fastener units

10.                 Concrete sleepers poles, posts

11.                 Crown cork making units

12.                 Carpentry & furniture units without seasoning

13.                 Chewing tobacco

14.                 Computer, Computer peripherals & computer software (assembly)

15.                 Cotton quils, Matress making

16.                 Cotton surgical bandages

17.                 Coir industry

18.                 Dry grinding of spices & Ayurvedic medicines

19.                 Drawing surveying & Scientific instruments making (assembly)

20.                 Engineering workshops, Machine shops, Press shop, Metal sheet fabrication including rolling shutters (without foundry, pickling, electro plasting, galvanization and without any discharge of water /oil)

21.                 Switches, accessories making and panel board.

22.                 Floor polish, Nail polish, Tooth paste, Tooth powder, Shampoo with blending only

23.                 Fabrication units connected with animal drawn vehicles trailers without any heat treatment furnace use  with no emission

24.                 Garment industry

25.                 Handloom weaving

26.                 House hold appliances & Kitchen equipments (no chemical use)

27.                 Welding sets (only electrical) without casting

28.                 Motor and Pump making without foundary

29.                 Metal building component such as grills, doors, window framing, tanks, wire nets etc (use of coal permitted)

30.                 Manufacture of Steel Trunks/ Boxes/ drums/ shutters

31.                 Nut cracking & roasting

32.                 Rice mills, Grain Mills (for production of flour) excluding roller flour mills

33.                 Small Restaurants/ coffee/ Tea shops & snack bars

34.                 Sericulture units

35.                 Tea grading & packing

36.                 Tiles ( Mosac) cement pipes, spun pipes manufacturing units

37.                 Doll making

38.                 Telecommunication equipments (assembly only)

39.                 Transformers manufacturing without poly chlorinated hydrocarbons

40.                 Umbrella raincoats, Tarpaulins

41.                 Utensils (aluminum, stainless steel, bras vessel making units having only processing spinning without use of budding & picking/ washing hot cold rolling forces & anodizing process)

42.                 Weighing machines

43.                 Wooden crates & boxes

44.                 Welding electrodes

 

NOTE:-  The above industries will be exempted from obtaining N.O.C from Pollution Control Board under          the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention &    Control of  Pollution ) Act, 1981. if the unit satisfies the following conditions;

 

1.                  That the industry is not proposed to be located in any residential area/ colonies of the Municipal/ Notified Area Committees/ Village/ any other.

2.                  That there will not be any discharge of trade effluent from the industry into stream or well or sewer or into land or/ and that the industry will not discharge any Air pollutant including noise into atmosphere.

3.                  That the industry shall not discharge any toxic/ hazardous wastes & handle any toxic/ hazardous chemicals.

                  In case industry is found to create conditions that generate any type of pollution or if, there         is any objection from the surrounding community and verification it is found that such objection      has some substances; the Board shall be free to take any legal action under the provisions of the         Water Act, Air Act & Environment Protection Act as considered appropriate.
